This literature review addresses a gap in existing research by identifying the role of gender equality and social equity related communication components in Aquatic Agricultural Systems (AAS) and agricultural interventions. This critical review of peer-reviewed and gray literature in AAS and agriculture will identify opportunities for future work and inform the design and implementation of relevant communication interventions.
