Evaluation of Extension Reforms in Brazil IFPRI & UNICAMP (2016)
This document presents the final report concerning the research “EVALUATION OF EXTENSION REFORMS IN BRAZIL”, that evaluated Brazilian federal government’s actions related to Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (ATER by its acronym in Portuguese). The report analyzed the implementation and execution of the National Policy of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (PNATER by its acronym in Portuguese) from 2004 to 2015. The report used the analytical approach proposed by GFRAS to evaluate technical assistance and rural extension activities under five categories, namely, RELEVANCE, EFFICIENCY, EFFECTIVENESS, IMPACT and SUSTAINABILITY. At the end, based on the presented analysis, a list of recommendations is presented to improve the policy.
