Call for Blogs & Good Practices on Women in Farm Mechanisation in India

Women play a significant role in India’s agricultural workforce, yet farm machinery, extension services, and mechanisation programmes have not always adequately addressed their needs. Understanding what works—and what needs to change—is essential for building a more inclusive and gender-responsive agricultural systems.

Farm mechanisation for women is a priority research area for the Centre for Research on Innovation and Science Policy (CRISP) and it is also an important topic for the Agricultural Extension in South Asia (AESA) Network which it hosts. Though the AESA platform, we would like to promote field experiences and promising practices on farm mechanisation for women and reflect on the policies and systems shaping women’s engagement with farm mechanisation in India.

This call is therefore aimed at practitioners, researchers, and programme staff who can document and share their perspectives and experinces as blogs and good practices on this topic for publication in the AESA platform.
