FAO invites submissions of case studies and inspiring stories that showcase innovative approaches, practical solutions and impactful experiences in urban and peri-urban forestry across diverse contexts.
Through this call, FAO aims to gather and highlight experiences that demonstrate how cities, institutions, communities and partners are addressing key challenges through concrete actions and locally adapted solutions. We welcome examples of initiatives, projects, policies, partnerships and practices that have delivered tangible results or show strong potential for replication and scaling up. Contributions may address a broad range of themes, including climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, food security, community engagement, social inclusion and other areas relevant to urban and peri-urban forestry.
Selected examples will support the development of a database of best practices, contributing to knowledge sharing and scaling up efforts under the framework of urban and peri-urban forestry.
Share your story by completing the submission form below and submitting your case study by 30 November 2026. We look forward to learning from your experience.
