This booklet, published by People’s Courage International (PCI), is a powerful collection of 28 real-life case studies from internal migrants across Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, and the Philippines. The stories highlight the human impact of climate change—floods, droughts, heatwaves, and other extreme weather events—on the lives of workers and families who are forced to migrate for survival.
Drawing from field interviews with over 24,000 internal migrants, the document complements a companion research report, “Coping with Climate: How extreme weather is already impacting internal migrants.” The stories capture resilience and vulnerability, showing how these individuals cope with displacement, loss of livelihood, and deteriorating living conditions due to the changing climate.
