Contribute to Strengthening Agricultural Extension in South Asia

Agricultural Extension in South Asia (AESA) invites applications from motivated agricultural graduates, postgraduates, and early-career extension and development professionals to join the AESA Volunteer Programme.

This programme offers a structured opportunity to contribute to regional knowledge exchange while building practical skills in agricultural extension, research, communication, and professional networking.

Volunteer Roles

Volunteers can contribute based on their interests, skills, and availability through the following roles:

  • Social Media Volunteers
    Support AESA’s digital presence by engaging with content, sharing opportunities, promoting activities, and increasing outreach through creative online initiatives.
  • Editorial Volunteers
    Assist with reviewing, editing, and preparing articles, blogs, meeting summaries, and knowledge briefs to ensure clarity, quality, and relevance.
  • Event Organising Volunteers
    Help plan and support webinars, workshops, and online knowledge-sharing events, including topic identification, moderation, and coordination.
  • Knowledge Volunteers
    Translate research into user-friendly formats, document extension innovations, support surveys and data analysis, and help localise content for diverse audiences.
  • Expert Volunteers
    Serve as speakers, panellists, mentors, or advisors, and guide young volunteers in content development and career pathways.
Requirements
  • Commitment of 3–5 hours per week
  • Flexible, fully virtual participation
  • Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection
